The Mary Ruth Middlebrook award is presented to the oldest female and male finisher in the Chama Chile Ski Classic 6K Snowshoe Race. "Mary Ruth was a resident of the Chama Valley who passed away in 2011. She was an avid outdoors woman, a master gardener and loved a physical challenge, including running, hiking, kayaking, antler hunting and snowshoeing. In 2009 and 2010 she was the oldest finisher in the 6K Snowshoe Race. This award celebrates the outstanding effort of the oldest female and male finisher in that event."
Sponsored by Becky Gibson Ryder

Kamie Ulibarri was dedicated to the Chama Chile Ski Classic, helping organize and promote the annual event. She spent endless hours on graphic design and created the last several t-shirt designs for the event. Her shirts and online support, as well as her professional and smiling face at registration are just a few of the many ways Kamie contributed to her community and touched our lives. We will miss Kamie and are thankful for the shining light she has been with all of us at the Chama Chile Ski Classic and in the greater Chama area.
Rest in Peace sweet friend - till we meet again.
